Happiness is accidental
Depending on our mood,
For all emotions are mental
Changing our outlook and attitude.
Emily Bronte, Stanzas
The Thoughts Room is an amazing place, and that’s putting it mildly. It’s such a simple concept, and yet it really does help. The calming music sets the perfect scene for relaxation, the blue, nightsky backdrop is easy on the eyes, and watching all those little negative things I type into the text box crumble away into the atmosphere is surprisingly liberating.
I urge anyone and everyone to try it.
It really helps me. I use it a lot, whenever I feel overwhelmed by things.

Music, when soft voices die,
Vibrates in the memory -
Odours, when sweet violets sicken,
Live within the sense they quicken.
Rose leaves, when the rose is dead,
Are heaped for the beloved’s bed;
And so thy thoughts, when thou art gone,
Love itself shall slumber on.
Percy Bysshe Shelley, from Music, When Soft Voices Die
The goal of this particular Tumblr is to help people. It’s not about preaching cliches, or thinking I or anyone can fix your problems, it’s simply about showing that there are people out there who care.
Mainly, though, this is a sort of project of mine: I’d like to create something that attracts many different people who have both struggles and wisdom. All ages, all backgrounds.
Depending on how well this goes will decide whether this remains a temporary project or a permanent “investment” for me, meaning that in six months, if I feel that it isn’t serving the purpose I had assigned for it, I’ll most likely delete it. If it proves to be successful or has done even a few people any good, I’ll keep it going.
So, here’s how it works: you submit or ask a question. You can submit a detailed description of any problems, or something inspirational. Photographs and quotes are also welcome!
